Medical Check Up
Our Medical Check-up project aims to provide accessible and comprehensive health screenings to underserved communities in Jinja and the surrounding areas. We believe that early detection and preventive care are crucial for improving overall community health and well-being.
Through this initiative, we organize regular free medical camps where the orphans and elderly persons can receive basic health checks, including:
Blood pressure monitoring: Identifying and managing hypertension to prevent related health complications.
Blood sugar testing: Screening for diabetes and offering guidance on management and prevention.
Malaria testing and treatment: Providing rapid diagnostic tests and appropriate medication for one of the region’s most prevalent diseases.
Basic eye and dental screenings: Addressing common issues and referring individuals to specialists when necessary.
General health consultations: Offering opportunities to discuss health concerns with qualified medical professionals.
Our team works in collaboration with local healthcare providers and volunteers to ensure the smooth operation of these camps. We also focus on health education, empowering individuals with knowledge about healthy lifestyles and preventive measures.
Since its inception, the Medical Check-up project has reached thousands of individuals, identifying numerous treatable conditions and providing vital health information. We are committed to expanding our reach and continuing to make a tangible difference in the health of the orphaned children and elderly persons.
